2011 is hitting full stride with a myriad of projects. Upgraded to Pro Tools 9 with the invaluable help of Jeff Komar. Just tracked keys on another new song by up and comer Ryan Jordan at Megatone Studios. A beautiful song entitled, "Love Song." I'm also delighted to be working on pre-production and arranging with the lovely and talented Julia McConahay for an imminent release. I will be joining Julia for some live shows as well. Putting the finishing touches on a piano score for a video produced by John Urban Productions for Domestic Abuse Intervention Services. The full length rock and roll/classical score for Madison Ballet's Dracula, choreographed by W. Earle Smith, is coming along nicely. That show is slated to perform at the Overture Center in March of 2012 with live accompaniment. Scored a video for Dr. Chris Kammer documenting and dramatizing his American Idol experience. I'm playing keys for live shows with "Kyle Henderson's Blue Eyed Soul." Motown, R&B and original songs in that vein are the forte. The variety band "Big Bang" is in preparation mode with a member shift but should be ready to rock soon.Rounding all of that out with solo shows and performing as a duo with one of my girls, Francie Phelps or Mare leads me to observe how lucky I am. This weekend promises to be a golden opportunity to see and hear music outside the norm. Please join my good friend Josh Dupont, (of Piano Fondue fame), and I for an evening of original music, tomorrow night, Friday July 9th at the Brink Lounge. No "Piano Man" or "Don't Stop Believin'" or "Free Bird" will be on the menu. Josh will be playing songs from his upcoming album and I'm gonna catalogue through Chaser, Boys In White up to Attack Of The Delicious and everything in between and beyond. Show starts at 8 pm with a $5 (cheap) cover. Saturday night I am also at the Brink Lounge playing the original songs I didn't get to Friday, from 6:30-8:30 and then at 9, I will be playing keys with Kyle Henderson's Blue Eyed Soul from 9-12. If you haven't seen Kyle sing, you're in for a genuine surprise. Join us for music from the heart and soul of it's creators. Take care everyone!
